ABOUT TALENA
Hi, I’m Talena Slipchuk.
For a long time, I was surviving through life without realizing I had normalized a way of living that was never meant to feel natural.
There was freedom in finally seeing that survival was not who I was — it was how I had learned to get through.
After leaving an unhealthy marriage, I was raising my children full-time, carrying the finances, managing responsibilities, and trying to build a better future for us.
Inside, I was tired of second-guessing myself, holding everything together, and feeling like I had to keep going no matter how much I was carrying.
I felt disconnected from myself and from the life I had always held a vision for.
That is where this work began for me.
I had to live it before I could teach it.
I had to learn how to hear myself more clearly, trust what I knew, and stop making my life smaller to stay safe, accepted, or understood.
That experience is why I created this work.
Because I know the woman who looks capable on the outside, but feels there is a fuller, freer version of herself waiting to come forward.
WHAT FINALLY MADE THE DIFFERENCE
The difference came when I stopped only looking at what was happening around me and began understanding what was happening within me.
I could see that I had been trying to change the outside of my life while the same patterns were still shaping how I thought, responded, chose, and saw myself.
The overthinking that looked like being prepared.
The over-functioning that looked like being responsible.
The people-pleasing that looked like being easy to love.
The self-abandonment that looked like keeping the peace.
The control that looked like holding everything together.
They were not personality traits.
They were learned ways of protecting, adapting, and getting through.
That realization changed the way I saw myself.
From there, I started doing the deeper work — shifting my mindset, healing what needed my attention, and learning to understand myself instead of judge myself.
It gave me language for what I had been carrying, and with that came a different kind of freedom.
Not the kind of freedom that comes from everything being perfect.
The kind that comes from finally hearing yourself again, trusting what you know, and feeling connected to your own life.
That is the shift I want women to experience.
Because when a woman understands what has been leading her beneath the surface, she can stop living from what protected her and begin choosing from her truth, her standards, and the life she is ready to lead.
WHAT I DO NOW
I help women stop defining themselves
by limiting beliefs, survival patterns,
and untrue identity stories —
the patterns that have kept them
disconnected from,
and living beneath,
who they truly are.
So they can embody an ELEVATED, SELF-LED IDENTITY
aligned with their truth, purpose,
and next level of life.
The Pattern Was Never the Identity
One of the most important things I learned is this:
Old patterns may have helped you survive.
They were never meant to become who you are.
They call it personality.
They call it being responsible.
They call it being easygoing.
They call it being strong.
They call it “just how I am.”
But these are not character flaws.
They are learned ways of protecting, adapting, and getting through.
And when those patterns are finally recognized for what they are, a woman can begin choosing from her truth, her standards, and the identity she is ready to live from.
This is where the work begins.
The Education Behind the Work
As I continued doing this work in my own life, I became deeply committed to understanding why these patterns form.
How they affect identity.
And what allows them to change.
Through lived experience, study, practice, and continued education, I explored emotional intelligence, nervous system regulation, attachment patterns, limiting beliefs, behavior change, and self-leadership.
That became the foundation for The Survival to Elegant Self-Leadership Method™ —
a structured approach that brings these pieces together in a way women can understand, apply, and begin living from.
The Survival to Elegant Self-Leadership Method™
This work is designed to help you recognize the patterns you have been living from, understand what those patterns were protecting, regulate your internal state, and begin choosing responses that reflect the identity you are ready to live from.
When you understand the pattern, you stop feeling controlled by it.
And over time, the shift begins to show in how you think, respond, communicate, hold your standards, and move through your life.
The Woman You’ve Been Trying to Become Isn’t Out of Reach
She operates with clarity.
She trusts herself in how she thinks, decides, and moves through her life.
She doesn’t override herself in the moment.
She doesn’t adjust to keep everything smooth.
She doesn’t feel the need to prove or manage how she’s perceived.
She moves with a steadiness that comes from knowing —
not questioning — who she is.
And at some point,
she stops feeling like someone you’re trying to become…
and starts feeling like you.
